Sustainability

Small choices, gentle impact. We design Nature Lane to be kind to babies and to the world they’ll grow up in.

Our Approach

  • Fewer, better things: minimal-ingredient formulas and right-sized packaging.
  • Honest progress: no greenwashing, just clear steps and practical actions.
  • Lifecycle thinking: from sourcing to end-of-life, we aim to reduce waste.

Materials & Packaging

  • Preferred plastics: HDPE/PET bottles and PP caps where suitable, which are widely recyclable in many U.S. curbside programs.
  • Simple components: we avoid unnecessary inserts and over-labeling.
  • Paper: ship boxes and void fill are paper-based and chosen for recyclability.
  • Design for disassembly: easy to separate bottle, pump, and label where possible.

Reuse & Refills

  • Longer life first: sturdy bottles to withstand bathroom use.
  • Refill mindset: we evaluate refill or bulk options as formulas/packaging allow (watch our updates).

Responsible Sourcing

  • Ingredient intent: plant-derived where appropriate; selected for quality and traceability.
  • Fewer miles when possible: we favor suppliers who help us minimize transport and over-packaging.
  • Standards: vendor expectations include lawful labor, safety, and environmental compliance.

Shipping & Operations

  • Right-size packing: we pack snugly to avoid damage and excess material.
  • Consolidated shipments: multi-item orders may ship together to lower transport impact.
  • Seasonal care: we consider heat/cold risks to reduce waste from leaks or returns.

How to Recycle (U.S. guidance; check local rules)

  1. Bottles/Jars (HDPE/PET): Rinse, let dry, recycle.
  2. Caps (PP): If your program accepts caps, close them on the bottle and recycle; otherwise dispose in trash.
  3. Pumps/Sprayers: Often not curbside-recyclable (mixed materials); dispose in trash unless your facility accepts them.
  4. Labels/Seals: Most labels/induction seals are trash after removing.
  5. Cartons/Paper Fill: Flatten and recycle.

Tip: A quick rinse prevents contamination and keeps recyclables out of landfill.

What We Avoid

  • Excess packaging, decorative plastics, and unnecessary secondary boxes.
  • Claims we can’t substantiate (e.g., blanket “plastic-free” or “zero waste”).

Our Near-Term Goals

  • Increase use of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content where it meets safety and quality.
  • Expand component disassembly guidance on product pages.
  • Pilot refill/bulk formats for select items.
  • Publish an annual materials snapshot so you can track our progress.
